This guy has got to be one of the best hardware hackers I've seen. He makes portables out of PS2's, NES, SNES, PS1, ATARI 2600, etc etc. Way cool stuff, look at the pictures.

Ok, this has got to be one of the most horrific and tragic stories I have ever come across so I saved it for last. I'm not even going to mention the title, its just that bad. The story has something to do with the murder of an infant and I'd advise you not to click unless your emotionally prepared.
